One of the favourite supports we offer at Brighter Days Australia is our custom client adventures. We love joining our clients for an experience that promotes skill development, social engagement and inclusion. What this means is different for all our clients, and we tailor each adventure to your interests and needs. Some of our recent adventures include:
- Fishing - we are fully kitted out to take you to a local fishing spot, or further afield if you have a destination in mind. Our team are not expert anglers by any means, but we love the outdoors, we have all the gear and are we are ready to go!
- Poker tournaments - running for about 2-4 hours daily these tournaments take place all across Australia and we have a few experts in our team who would love to teach you the ropes. If you are unfamiliar with the game, we will run you through the rules and teach you the basics, but honestly the games are a lot of fun and a great way to meet people in your local community.
- Shopping sprees - fancy a bit of retail therapy? Our team know the best spots around Sydney to snag some bargains whatever it is you are in the market for. Our favourites though are the clothing stores. We love exploring fashion and finding outfits that look fabulous. Not just one for the ladies' fellas - a few of our support workers double as fashionistas and will have you looking your best dapper self in no time!
- Personal grooming - nails, eyebrows, waxing, whatever! We all deserve to look our best and our team are here to help. We know all the best spots around town to get quality treatments at affordable prices and we would love to take you for a day out.
- Music festivals, concerts, cinema, pottery classes, cooking classes, beach trips and random restaurant runs (pancakes anyone!).
